Today's post will be short and sweet, because I am too excited about the guest we have in town this week to focus!! We have a great weekend planned and I am ready to enjoy some fall weather with some of my favorite people!

This week's theme is monotone. Now, I'm not saying I'm against monotone or anything in clothing- when done correctly I think it can be perfectly elegant...but I'm pretty sure I completely fail at it. When I put a monotone outfit together I always feel too matchy-matchy...or too clashy. Clashy isn't a word, is it? Dang. Either way, this is what I came up with:

I think this look is definitely a success! I struggle with creating a classy monochromatic outfit as well, so I like that the pants break up the color while still keeping with the theme. And that statement necklace? Fabulous!
