GIDDYUP UNCLE MICHAEL!

This last week was a super busy one. Not having Monday to do work just made everything that much more crazy, didn't it?
The weather has been GORGEOUS in Madison, and Saturday was the first day that had that little twinge of fall in it. In case you haven't gathered by all my babbling, I need some fall weather in my life. Now.
Here's what's up lately:

I don't know if it's the heat or what, but my usual gigantic necklaces have been replaced with simple ones like this gold locket from HibiscusDays

This recipe will be featured on the blog tomorrow, get ready:

I'm kind of sure that Claire Vivier makes some of the most gorgeous clutches. Like this gold one:

I got to see my lovely friend Brianna this weekend, and after beer and conversation we got to see a pretty rainstorm over the capitol:
Saturday morning was spent with one of my sisters and my niece Lydia. She's completely in love with Michael, especially when he let's her ride up on his shoulders. She kept yelling "Giddyup Unca Michael!", and giggling like crazy. Pure joy:
This week at work favorites? Colorblocking and polka dots:

What did your weekend look like?
If it included that clutch, you are one lucky person. Le sigh.

Friday's Fancies #36: BTS

Am I going back to school?
No.
I graduated college a few years ago, so there ain't no more first days of school for this girl (Although I did just use "ain't", so maybe I should be going back?).
I'm still going to participate in FF this week, even if it's back to school themed. Here's my ideal (and slightly impractical) first day of school outfit:

This. Shirt. Is. Perfect. Coral cotton and silk voile joy. Am I being dramatic? Duh, but it's gorgeous. Very first day of school worthy. Or any first day of anything worthy.

I talk about Gorjana a lot because the jewelry is great quality and gorgeous. My favorite necklace is from there, and this Taner Shimmer necklace is next on my list. Simple, yet gorgeous and completely noticeable.

This Madewell Heritage Tote is kind of perfect for hauling around all your books/laptop/etc.Neutral so it goes with everything- basic but classy.

I know I have Tory flats a lot on the blog, but it's because I'm living vicariously through my FF outfits. These suede blue Reva flats are so lovely. I mean. they're blue suede shoes people- you know they're good if there's a song about them.

Skirts this short might not be the best for school, but like I said- I ain't going to school anymore, so I can make this outfit whatever I want. I can see this Madewell skirt going great with a whole lotta things (chambray, anyone?).

I love this ASOS watch. I know monograms are everywhere- but this seems somehow...grown up? I might be totally making that up. Get yours here.

Would you wear this look back to school?
(Or wear it watching others have to go back to school)

FOXY LADY

I'm not one for animal prints really. Yes, I have leopard loafers, but that's about it. Unless tortoise shell counts, because I love me some of that.
Crap, now I'm not making as strong of a point as I wanted to.

Long story short: Animal prints normally aren't my jam, but for some reason prints of animals I can get down with.
What am I talking about? Fox prints. Yep.
Tory Burch (how I love you) has an awesome line of fun foxy things- but so does ASOS, and at a much lower price tag. Here are some of my favorites:

I love the scarves with zebra on them, but these two fox scarves rock. The purple ASOS? $20. White Tory? $165. Although, a gorgeous, gorgeous $165. Round One:  Eh, Tie.

I threw this Anthropologie Fox hook in just for good measure. How cute is that thing?

Now, I didn't find another pouch from ASOS like this one from Tory, so Ms. Burch wins this round. Round 2: Tory Burch.

In terms of studs, ASOS has 'em for $14, which are much better looking in my opinion than the $68 Tory Burch ones. Round 3: ASOS

The Tory Burch fox sweater looks like a school uniform (a badass one, mind you), so my vote for this is the ASOS sweater, by far.  Round 4: ASOS

In the belt world, there is no competition. Tory Burch $150 vs ASOS $17: Round 5: Tory Burch

If you're keeping track, yes it's a tie. Bummer.
Who gets your vote?
