Goodbye Beard...for now

As you all know, Michael is the Beard of B&B. His scruffy lumberjack appearance is one of the reasons I  started liking him (what can I say, we Minnesota girls have a thing for the Paul Bunyan type!). The few times a year he actually decides to shave he fully enjoys every second of shaping his facial hair into creepy forms. "the dirty trucker" and "mutton chop Mike" are two seen below. Sorry for any nightmares these cause:

Ah, yes, "nearly clean shaven Mike" which takes him from looking age 23+ to looking age 16. Doesn't he just look like a kid who is stoked about finally getting his driver's license?

Luckily his facial hair grows as fast as Lindsay Lohan's rap sheet, so I won't look like a cougar for more than a few days.

You know what's super fun? Sleeping on an air mattress for nights on end.
You know what's even more fun? Sleeping on a REAL mattress for nights on end.

You see, Michael and I don't weigh the same. Shocking, right? a 6'2" guy and a 5'2" girl? Well, sleeping on an air mattress with Michael is kind of like being on a teeter totter- when he flops down on the bed- I go up in the air. When he jumps up off the bed, I crash to the ground.

Needless to say, I am super stoked about this real mattress.

Yesterday we went on our first VA IKEA trip and picked up a bed frame and mattress...
So here was our elegant situation before:

And then during the building process:

 Ripping open mattresses like the manly, shirtless man he is...

 And... presto change-o! A REAL BED!

Magic, right?

Oh, and Louisa- before you even comment on it- yes, Michael did sell his shirt to help pay for the bed.
