Friday's Fancies #41: Leaf Love

Chilly blustery fall is in the house, people.
Here's this week's FF:

1. Hi burgundy cords. Let's be friends.
2.  Is there anything better in chilly weather than a chunky cable knit sweater?
3. Max & Chloe's leaf necklace, just to drive home this week's theme.
4. Riding boots for fall: necessary.
5. Love this Gap hat. 25% off today. Booya.
6. Gorgeous green bow ring, even if the leaves aren't anymore.
7. This watch has nothing to do with fall or leaves, but dang it's pretty.
8. Bag that matches the cords. Just for good measure.

What are you weekend plans?
Cheer for the Packers with me friends, I'm nervous this week.

FAVORITE ETSY SHOPS, PART 2

A few months back I shared a few of my favorite Etsy shops, and you all had such great feedback about it that I thought I'd do another! I'm a huge fan of Etsy, and I do a great majority of my gift shopping there. Nothing like something special you haven't seen out in big box stores to surprise someone, right? Lately on here I've been mentioning gift giving, not just for the holidays- but as "just because" gifts. Those are the best ones! So sit back and enjoy....
** oh, and before I forget, NO this isn't a sponsored post. I didn't receive anything for talking about these shops, I just happen to like them a lot. **
-------

Karly is the lovely lady behind ThreeBeesDesigns. Although she has a wide array of art in her shop, by far my favorites are the digital watercolor prints, like the ones below. I recently bought the ampersand and the world map for a gallery wall in our apartment. Cannot wait for them to arrive! The best part is, since they're digitally altered, you can get most prints in an array of gorgeous colors!

Hi. Did any of you know about Knot & Bow already? If so, WHY HAVE YOU NOT SHARED THIS WITH ME?! Knot & Bow is the perfect shop to add the extra special touch to any gift you give, with stylish stickers, twine, and tags. There are even a few gift items in there, like these me & you pencils. How sweet are they?

You all know I'm always a fan of a great jewelry shop, and my recent find is Mon Cadeau. I was searching for an initial ring, and came across this lovely shop filled with tiny, delicate personalized jewelry. I'm not normally a big heart jewelry person, but even the heart jewelry is tasteful and simple enough that I'd get it. (Oh, and how adorable is that hedgehog necklace?)

Which of these Etsy shops will you be checking out?
Have any recommendations for ones I should check out?

-----------------------------365------------------------------

It's funny how much can change in a year.
365 days ago today I started this blog to simply document our move out to Virginia...and it has evolved so dang much I can't even believe it. Don't worry, this won't be some emotional diatribe. All I have to say is that  it's really, really nice to see the changes and growth and commitment that has gone into and come out of B&B in the last 365. With that, allow me to share with you a few little tidbits:
----------------------

In the past 365 on this blog I've:
written 333 posts
shared travels through 21 states in the USA (+dc!)
posted 40 recipes & around 50 DIY projects
created 40 friday's fancies

Random embarrassing B&B facts:
1. my first post was about vacuum seal bags. i kid you not. #highclass
2. michael posted twice on the blog. history related, of course.
3. the first month i pretty much just wrote about virginia. we hadn't started working yet, so all we did was explore and find quirky things about the south we loved (or didn't so much).
4. i was terrible with my camera. not saying i'm great now, but all of my indoor shots are pure yellow hell.

Top viewed recipe posts:
lemon garlic gnocchi
(geez, you all like your gnocchi & cupcakes, dontcha?)

Top viewed DIY posts:
*sidenote: it's funny how recipes/diys i think rock sometimes get little response, and then ones i think are not my best work get a lot of attention. i mean come on people, chocolate pretzel toffee? how is that not top 5!? it's delicious! ::le sigh::

thanks for hanging out on b&b, it's ever so nice to have you.
